A Long Island driver was caught racing at 130 mph on the Long Island Expressway in Ronkonkoma, Suffolk County police announced on Saturday, March 8. Lelis Zavala, 23, of Oyster Bay, was cited for an illegal speed contest and reckless driving after officers from the Street Takeover Task Force spotted his 2018 Toyota Corolla racing another vehicle near Exit 59 around midnight, according to police. Chrismie Aurilus, 17, of Ronkonkoma, was last seen on Friday, Feb. 21, according to the New York State Missing Persons Clearinghouse. Shuangshuang Luo, 56, was arrested following a Suffolk County Police sting at the Twins Twins Spa on Montauk Highway in East Patchogue on Monday, Jan. 27. A search warrant was executed on the business in response to numerous community complaints, police said. Luo, of Ronkonkoma, was charged with prostitution and promoting prostitution, and was issued a desk appearance ticket. A man is hospitalized after falling from a moving vehicle at a Long Island gas station. The incident happened in Ronkonkoma, at the Mobil station on Ronkonkoma Avenue, at around 8:40 a.m. Monday, Dec. 23.
