A Long Island man has died over a week after he was pulled unresponsive from a swimming pool. Emergency crews were called at around 2 p.m. Sunday, May 19, after a 45-year-old man was found unresponsive in a residential pool in the hamlet of West Hills, on West Hills Road. A 5-year-old boy has died one day after he was found unresponsive in a swimming pool on Long Island. Emergency crews were initially called at around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, after the boy’s mother found him in the pool at their East Moriches home on Woodcrest Drive, according to Suffolk County Police. The 44-year-old woman performed CPR on the boy until medics arrived and took him to Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead.
