More than 120,000 bed rails are being recalled after two deaths were linked to a dangerous entrapment hazard, federal officials said.
Vive Health is recalling about 122,000 adult portable bed rails, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced on Thursday, March 26. The recall includes three models: the Vive Health Compact Bed Rail, Bed Rail Collection V, and units of model LVA1024 purchased on or before Monday, Aug. 21, 2023.
The products pose a risk because users can become trapped within the rail or between the rail and the mattress, creating a serious risk of asphyxiation.
